Macaroons
Oh so simple, but OH SO GOOD!
Preheat oven to 300.
Ingredients:
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 14oz bag shredded sweetened coconut
- 3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1.5 cups mini chocolate chips
Whisk egg whites and salt until large peaks form.
Gently fold in coconut and condensed milk. Stir in mini chocolate chips.
Scoop 2 inch balls onto parchment lined baking sheets. (Good luck with this step - they are SUPER sticky - but really, they are worth it!)
Bake at 300, until golden. 20 to 25 minutes.
PS, you can also substitute nuts or chopped dried fruit for the chocolate chips.
